CABA links with LawExpress to provide legal support website

The Chartered Accountants’ Benevolent Association (CABA) has launched a  free legal support web site for chartered accountants and their dependants

The online service is available at www.caba.org.uk/legaladvice and covers personal and business legal matters. It will work in tandem wih CABA’s well-used confidential legal helpline, which is still available on 0800 107 6131.

Types of law covered in detail on the website include family, consumer, wills and probate, motoring, property, employment, company, commercial, and taxation.

Kath Haines, CABA chief executive, said: ‘We are very excited about this service. It will provide fast, accurate and easy-to-access legal advice for accountants facing all kinds of issues.’

The service, which is being provided in conjunction with legal support specialist LawExpress, forms part of a CABA strategy to offer a wider range of resources designed to help accountants plan and improve their work and personal lives.

Haines said: ‘Eventually, we would like CABA to be the “go to” organisation whenever chartered accountants need any kind of help or information that can potentially impact on their wellbeing.’
