Football-mad accountants are being offered the chance to win prized items from some of the sport’s most famous players and teams as part of an initiative to give poverty the boot during Christian Aid Week, 10 – 16 May
The charity is planning an eBay auction of items including former England Captain, Steven Gerrard’s signed football boots, signed shirts from the Chelsea and Everton teams and a signed photo of the Arsenal team.
Other items up for grabs in the Premiership themed auction include captain of Crystal Palace, Mile Jedinak’s signed boots; Hull City defender, Michael Dawson’s boots; Swansea defender, Ashley Williams’ boots; a signed photo of the Sunderland team; a tour of Leicester City’s stadium and a signed Burnley FC pennant flag. More items are to be announced.
The auction, to mark Christian Aid’s 70th Anniversary, goes live on Saturday and runs for a week. Money raised will go to support its projects around the world.
