Cooper Parry joins global accounting network

Top 50 firm Cooper Parry is to rebrand under the PKF umbrella following the decision to join accounting network PKF International (PKFI) as its representative in the Midlands, joining London-based PKF Littlejohn and Scottish firm Johnston Carmichael.

From 2014, the firm will trade as PKF Cooper Parry. It is ranked 38 in Accountancy's UK firms league table, with a fee income of £15.8m in 2012. It has recently restructured the Mdilands operation with the relocation of three office sites in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester into one new 'super office' located at Castle Donington.

Ade Cheatham, chief executive of Cooper Parry, said: 'This key strategic move reflects the growing importance of supporting our clients as they expand internationally.'

The firm said the decision to join the PKF network, which has 300 member firms in 125 countries, was necessary to support its work on international business and cross-border deals and acquisitions.

PKF International CEO, John Sim, said: 'We are looking to recruit another three or four high quality UK firms during the first half of 2014 to further strengthen the PKF brand in the UK.'
