DFK International, the global accounting association, has expanded its UK membership with the addition of two London-based firms, Carter Backer Winter (CBW) and Wilson Wright
Both firms have significantly grown in recent years and are looking to build upon their international service through the association as members of its national group, DFK UK & Ireland.
DFK UK & Ireland now has 18 member firms across the UK in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
Bob Law, chair of DFK UK & Ireland, said: ‘We are delighted to have such strong representation within both our national group and DFK International from two highly professional firms in London.’
Both CBW and Wilson Wright are full service and sector focused firms. CBW is based in Prescot Street in the City and has more than doubled in size over the last decade. Wilson Wright is based in Holborn Circus, London, and doubled fee income in the last three years.
The member expansion follows the loss of mid-tier accountants Chantrey Vellacott DFK when it merged with Moore Stephens, and went on to join the Moore Stephens International network.
Peter Winter, managing partner at CBW, said: ‘We believe DFK International is a great match in terms of our strategic growth plans and our people-led values, with a shared focus on building strong relationships among member firms which result in contact led rather than directory led referrals.”
Michael Lerner, senior partner at Wilson Wright, said: ‘The association can provide us with the access we need to high-quality member firms all over the world enabling us to build further on the firm’s growth, thus enhancing our offering to existing and future clients with international business interests.’
DFK International has continued its expansion around the world in recent months, with a number of high-quality firms in important economic centres becoming members.
DFK International is a top ten global accountancy association with over 400 offices in more than 90 countries worldwide.
