The impact of technology is making its mark in the sector, but a recent member survey by the IFA has shown that more work needs to be done to ensure accounting professionals are armed with the tools and skills to deal with what are considered to be the key challenges facing them in the future.

Perhaps most significantly is maintaining relevancy with the growth in automation of accounting tasks by artificial intelligence (AI), and the increased use of cloud-based accounting tools by clients.
