Form P87 Published

The latest version of the form for employees to use when claiming tax relief for expenses and travel costs incurred in connection with their work has now been published: see http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/p87.pdf. For employers who do not have dispensations, this form provides employees with their counterpart to the P11D entry for expenses in Box N, as well as providing a way of claiming any additional tax relief that is due. It should be noted that the form is only applicable to claims up to £2,500. HM Revenue & Customs requires a self-assessment form for greater claims.
