EY has launched EY.ai Tax Labs and the EY.ai Tax Agent Factory to accelerate AI-enabled tax work, reduce manual input and improve compliance levels
The new AI products include two core elements, EY.ai Tax Labs, a collaborative environment where clients and EY staff will be able to co-develop AI-led tax strategies that address complex data, regulatory and operational challenges, and the EY.ai Tax Agent Factory, a global tool to enable tax professionals to design, build and deploy AI agents that automate multi-stage tax processes and are designed generate smarter, real-time insights.
The Big Four firm said these new offerings combine EY’s tax expertise with its multi-alliance technology ecosystem to help businesses use artificial intelligence (AI) and produce ‘trusted data to deliver faster insights, improve compliance accuracy, and unlock new levels of operational efficiency’.
This launch comes as CFOs and tax leaders face mounting pressure to realise the benefits of AI responsibly and at scale, moving from experimentation to enterprise-wide transformation, while many are struggling to justify the expenditure and return on investment.

EY.ai Tax Labs uses emerging technologies, in particular generative and agentic AI, to help clients ‘tackle their data challenges and intricate tax issues providing adaptable, AI-led strategies that respond to evolving regulatory and operational demands’, EY said.
It provides a collaborative, creative, and open-ended environment where clients and EY teams work together to develop, test, and implement clear, AI-driven strategies that shape the future of the tax function.
One of its important features will be to provide support to develop the business case for AI usage, ‘working to ensure a robust return on investment and tangible business outcomes for clients’, EY stressed.
The EY.ai Tax Agent Factory is designed to deploy agentic AI at scale to automate complex multistage tax processes and identify patterns in financial data so businesses can streamline their data processes and minimise manual input.
