I’d like to give you some feedback now,’ said the CEO. And there it was, the moment I had been trying to avoid. Regular readers of the Mole will know that I was working out a painful three month notice period. Being mostly efficient, organised and slightly lazy I had managed to hand over my work within a month which left a two-month fallow period whereupon having nothing to do, my efficiency evaporated and even simple tasks took three times the amount of time to complete they would have done if I had been busy and trying.

Unfortunately for me, the CEO’s secretary had approached me for a feedback session before I left. The irony was not lost on me, now you want to know what I think, when I’m leaving, having not seemed all that bothered before. Because I had another job, my opinions where suddenly more interesting.
