Remedy Recruitment Group Limited (Remedy) is the first recruitment agency to be named on the HMRC’s tax avoidance scheme promotors list for failing to pay the correct tax for contractors by using third parties.

The Loughton based agency specialises in public sector recruitment, placing temporary staff across health and social care, including NHS placements, and education. According to Remedy’s filing on Companies House, the business has 60 employees including five directors and placed 184 candidates in FY24, up from 141 the previous year.

But now HMRC has named the employment agency on the tax avoidance name and shame list for its use of a tax avoidance scheme promoted by Aura Paye Limited.
