FRC consults on improving audit committee conduct

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has launched a consultation on its draft proposal for a minimum standard of conduct for audit committees

The purpose of the standard will be to increase performance across audit committees in the FTSE 350, ensuring a consistent approach and supporting a well-functioning audit market, with emphasis on encouraging mid-tier firms to tender and forcing audit firms to justify if they do not want to tender for the audit business.
