Almost three years ago, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) published its first version of FRS 102, Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Ireland, the accounting standard central to new UK GAAP.  A flurry of comment and discussion has followed with the waters muddied further by the issue of various amendments to the standard, but now, with December 2015 year ends starting to prepare their accounts, debate needs to give way to practical action.
