Changes to small LLP disclosure requirements explained

Steve Collings FCCA explains the new disclosure requirements for small limited liability partnerships introduced as a result of revisions to FRS 102 1A and the LLP SORP 2026

The latest edition of the LLP SORP 2026 is effective for periods commencing on or after 1 January 2026 with early adoption permitted. The LLP SORP 2026 provides guidance on applying to a limited liability partnership (LLP) but does not override the requirements of any UK and Ireland accounting standard or section of FRS 102.

The LLP SORP 2026 disclosure requirements relate only to LLP entities preparing financial statements under FRS 102 (2024) or FRS 102 Section 1A (2024), and cannot be used by micro LLPs reporting under FRS 105.
