Hornchurch builder faces jail over £190k Audi debt

A builder from Essex who stole machinery to pay for high performance Audi RS 6 and ordered to repay more than £190,000

Vasile Hrusca, 41, of Hornchurch in Essex, has until 25 February 2026 to make the payments in full or face two years and a half years in prison, having been given a suspended sentence initially.

Hrusca was the sole director of building company Vasile Hrusca Ltd, which he initially set up in 2007, when he was sentenced for theft and fraudulently removing company property. At the trial in January 2025, he was given a suspended sentence but now the prosecutors have secured a confiscation order.
