It was busy in 2009 for the practice assurance team in the ICAEW’s Quality Assurance Department (QAD), according to the Practice Assurance Report released by the institute. By the end of the year, some 8,500 firms had been visited and reviewed since the introduction of practice assurance, with a further 3,000 firms to visit and review before the first six-year cycle is up.
