ICAS launches black talent action plan

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) has published an action plan to tackle the barriers faced by black accountants

The plan aims to improve equality of opportunity for black talent at ICAS with the plan forming part of ICAS’ commitment to the Charter for Black Talent in Finance and the Professions which it signed earlier this year.

For its members by the end of 2022, ICAS has said that it will establish a Black Member Network which will run engagement and networking events focusing on equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), support activity for Black History Month, and coordinate initiatives for the betterment of black accountants and to improve the inclusive leadership skills of all accountants.
