Pre tax profits increased by 16% to £20.7m (2022: £17.8m), 6% of which was organic, and the group has doubled revenue in the last four years from £60m in 2019 to £121.8m (2022: £110.0m), for year end 30 April 2023. Profit for the year was £2.9m, up from a loss of £500,000 the previous year.

Revenue from formal insolvency appointments increased to £71m, up from £66.7m the previous year, and advisory and transactional services, which are delivered from both operating divisions (insolvency and property), increased revenue to £51m.

During the year Begbies was appointed as administrators of Worcester Rugby Club, roofing contractor Avonside Group, Silverbond Enterprises Limited (former operator of Park Lane Casino in London), online furniture retailer Cox & Cox and high street stationers Paperchase.
