Endless bickering and dithering in
Brussels deters investors and creates uncertainty for business, says

The abiding failure of the current crop of European leaders
to agree on a way forward for the euro and the single market is historic.
Their dithering may leave a permanent scar, not just on Europe, but
on the global economy.
The protracted crisis we have grappled with will cast a long
shadow. Youth unemployment, running now above 50% in Spain, eats into
tomorrow’s workforce as it ruins lives today. The skills and
knowledge, or ‘accumulated human capital’ as economists
like to say, of the jobless all around Europe melt away on sofas and
in bars from Andalucía to Naples just as their factories crumble
and machinery rusts.
