Marshall: Conceptual Framework review matters for IFRS

The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) consultation on the Conceptual Framework is crucial for the development of future IFRS accounting standards so it is essential that preparers review the exposure draft and give feedback to ensure the final document does not further complicate current accounting requirements, says Andrew Marshall, senior technical partner at KPMG UK 

In May the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) issued an exposure draft (ED) on a revised version of its Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting (the framework). The IASB is asking for comments on this by 26 October. The issuance passed without much notice in many circles.
