Long will join Morison KSi’s London-based global executive office (GEO) at the beginning of January 2019. She has more than 20 years’ professional experience working both nationally and internationally, in the private sector as well as in social enterprise.

Much of Long’s career has been spent working in membership organisations. Her current role is with Consumers International, a global consumer protection membership organisation, representing over 200 organisations from 100 countries.

Previously she was central to the conception, development and delivery of one of the first and most ambitious international consumer label and sustainable source certification programmes – the Marine Stewardship Council initiative set-up in partnership between Unilever and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

Her background includes ethical retail within the co-operative movement, corporate responsibility within the utilities sector and international PR.

Long said her focus as CEO will be on the continuing growth of the association and developing opportunities for member firms to collaborate more closely.

Morison KSi currently has 160 member firms representing 82 countries, with a combined revenue of $1.089bn (£830m).

Long’s predecessor, Liza Robbins, spent nine years as CEO of Morison KSi where she was instrumental expanding its coverage and leading on the successful merger of Morison International and KS International. In July, she took up the CEO position at another global accounting network, Kreston International, following the announcement that the incumbent, Jon Lisby, was to step down for health reasons.
