The National Audit Office (NAO) plans to investigate HMRC’s approach to collecting tax from high net worth individuals (HNWI), due for publication this winter

The report will examine the issues facing HMRC when collecting tax from the UK’s wealthiest taxpayers. It will also consider the tax risks posed by HNWI as well as how HMRC addresses these risks and measures the impact of its work.

The report will be headed by director, Rob Prideaux and audit manager, Jonny Mood.

To provide evidence for consideration to assist the study, email the study team on [email protected], putting the study title in the subject line.

NAO regularly produce reports on HMRC with the most recent investigating their annual accounts in July, which the Public Accounts Committee will take evidence on in October.
