New managing partner for Haysmacintyre

Ian Cliffe is to take over as managing partner of Haysmacintyre from Simon Wilks who is standing down after six years in the role, which included leading the firm's recent office relocation in central London.

Cliffe has been a partner at the firm, ranked at 33 in the Accountancy Top 60 listing, since 2001. He has held a number of senior positions including head of the audit department, leading the corporate finance division, and has been part of the management team for six years.

Cliffe said: 'I am delighted to be taking on the role at such an exciting time for the firm with our new office and growing service offering. In the last eighteen months, we have devoted time to progressing our sector specialisms within the firm's core practice areas - corporate, not for profit and private client, in order to provide our clients with market-leading service delivery and experience.'

Haysmacintyre's fee income in 2012 was £17.4m, and the firm has 27 partners and 160 staff working from offices in Holborn.
