BDO has appointed three new partners, Andi Rosandic, James Monk and Vinod Dasani. Rosandic joins as a financial services audit partner in the technology risk assurance team, having built up 20 years’ experience working with businesses in the financial services and banking sector. He joins from KPMG where he was a director in the FS audit team and will be based in London. Monk also joins as a partner in the technology risk assurance team. He has extensive experience in the financial services sector and has worked in Zurich, Jersey and London. He will be based in BDO’s London office and previously was a director at PwC. Dasani joins BDO’s Manchester office as a partner in the business services & outsourcing team. He has a wealth of experience in supporting businesses through strategic transformation projects. Vinod joins from KPMG India. 

Cooper Parry has appointed Simon Shaw as partner and head of indirect tax. He has over 25 years of experience in the indirect tax space. His focus will be to build out the indirect tax offering to reflect the rapidly growing size of the firm after private equity investment, with plans to recruit more staff and expand the service line. He joins after 25 years at KPMG, where he worked his way up to VAT partner and UK head of indirect tax. He started his career at HMRC where he spent two years as a VAT anti-avoidance adviser.

AAB has strengthened the leadership team with the promotions of Lyn Calder as chief growth officer, John Beevers as head of professional services, both new additions to the firm’s group executive team, and Neil Robb as head of business advisory. Calder brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning and business development, and will focus on driving growth and cultivating key partnerships. She has been with AAB for six years, most recently as managing partner for the Edinburgh office. Beevers will focus on service quality and operational performance, overseeing audit, corporate finance, business advisory and private client. He joined the firm as part of the Sagars’ acquisition in 2021. Robb will lead efforts to provide tailored accounting, tax and strategic advisory solutions for SMEs. He is based in Glasgow and joined the firm in 2023 as part of the French Duncan acquisition.

RSM UK has appointed Sarah Waddington as a financial reporting partner to strengthen its consulting team. She has over 25 years’ experience in UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting, and is an expert at supporting clients through disruptive events such as acquisitions, restructurings, corporate simplifications and cash extractions. She will work closely with listed and privately owned businesses, and PE-backed groups. Waddington joins from Deloitte where she was an accounting advisory partner, and led the corporate accounting advisory team.

HW Fisher has promoted Martin Smith, Mark Reveley and Tanya Craft to partner to support the firm’s continued growth, bringing total partner numbers to 28. Smith is head of the sports department, managing a portfolio of over 350 clients and his expertise centres around household names in the football industry for both UK professional sportspeople and non-UK domiciled individuals. Reveley is a partner in the forensic team, where he has a reputation for being able to handle particularly complex contractual arrangements and those requiring significant data analysis. Craft is one of the leads in the audit group, and has over 15 years’ experience, as well as expertise in financial due diligence and valuations work.

Hurst has launched a private client tax service headed up by newly hired partner Karen Chadwick, who has 30 years’ experience and has joined the firm as a partner to lead the new offering. During her career, Chadwick has gained a wealth of personal and trust tax compliance and advisory experience and technical knowledge, particularly in the areas of trusts and inheritance tax. Previously she was a tax partner at Azets, and originally trained at Deloitte.

Langtons Chartered Accountants has promoted Simon Whalley to partner and has been with the Liverpool firm since 1995 and has risen through the ranks from qualifying as a chartered accountant to becoming manager, and most recently client services director. Whalley now oversees some of the firm’s largest audit assignments and complex year end accounts and projections. His promotion to partner comes just six weeks after the appointment of Michael Court as tax director, who joined the firm from MHA Moore & Smalley.

Interpath has appointed Stuart Mogg as managing director to lead the financial services debt and capital advisory business. He joins from EY where he was a partner and led the financial services debt advisory team as part of the firm’s corporate finance practice. He began his career with the NatWest Group where he worked across a number of senior roles including leading the financial services structured finance business. Meantime, highly experienced financier Matthew Jubb will join the leadership of the firm’s transformation and turnaround offering as a managing director from 1 June. He arrives from Endless LLP, the special situations private equity investor, where he was responsible for leading the firm’s Leeds office.
