CIMA has elected Andrew Miskin FCMA, CGMA as president. He has 25 years’ experience as a management consultant and will be responsible for chairing the institute’s governance arrangements and advocating for CIMA and management accounting. Miskin has held a variety of roles within CIMA, including serving on the council, chairman of CIMA’s members' services committee and deputy president of the executive committee.

The Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (AISMA) has appointed James Gransby and Andrew Pow as members of its executive committee. Gransby is a partner at MHA MacIntyre Hudson and Pow is a partner at Manchester firm Hall Liddy.

Neil Berry has been appointed as a tax partner at MHA MacIntyre Hudson. Berry is a chartered tax advisor that originally received his training from a Big Four firm. He has been at MHA MacIntyre Hudson for three years and specialises in the tax planning area.

Carey Olsen announces six new partners bringing the total number of partners across its seven offices to 49. The new partners are Annette Alexander from the Guernsey corporate practice, Kate Andrews and James Willmott from the Jersey corporate practice, Keith Dixon and Alexa Saunders from the Jersey trusts and private wealth practice and Jeremy Garrood from the Jersey litigation practice.

Former advisor for national building society Nationwide, Mark Featherstone, has joined MT Financial Management (MTFM). Featherstone is a qualified financial advisor and has more than 20 years of experience with investments and pensions. MTFM has also appointed Olivia Stockwood as an administrator who will assist the firm’s financial advisors.

Milsted Langdon has appointed Leon Cane to its tax team. Langdon specialises in international tax and has previously held senior roles in national and multi-national firms.

Kingston Smith & Partners has promoted Ryan Davies to licensed insolvency practitioner. Davies joined the firm in 2005 and earned his insolvency qualifications in 2010. He is experienced in working with large and small businesses across a wide range of sectors.

Vivien Ma has returned to Sayer Vincent as senior audit manager. Ma formerly worked for Sayer Vincent for seven years until 2011, since then she has worked in audit manager roles for the charity divisions of firms including Grant Thornton and BDO.
