RSM UK has appointed Simon Atkins as partner in its VAT team in London. He has extensive expertise across a range of industries, including real estate, sporting bodies, and healthcare and life sciences. He joins RSM from Deloitte, where he gained 22 years’ experience in advising clients on indirect tax issues, including the complex VAT rules around property, partial exemption and electronically supplied services. Atkins joins the firm’s national VAT team and will form part of the VAT leadership team in London, which has grown rapidly over the last five years to nearly 30 people.

Deloitte has hired three new partners into its UK financial advisory business, accessing new areas. Jonathan Tyler has joined Deloitte as a partner to lead the real assets technology team, helping owners and occupiers optimise their real estate portfolios through complex digital transformations. Claire Foxall joins as a partner in the government & infrastructure practice within advisory corporate finance. These follow the appointment in January of Bhaskar Acharya as a partner in the corporate turnaround practice.
