PwC plans to recruit 100,000 worldwide in the next five years

The Big Four firm is set to invest $12bn (£8.5bn) worldwide with $1.2bn (£854m) in the UK to create jobs over the next five years focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and tech

PwC International Network unveiled ‘The New Equation’ strategy which includes a worldwide hiring spree aiming to recruit around 100,000 people. The new hires will increase the firm’s total headcount by nearly a third to around 384,000.

Alongside this, PwC International Network has announced a new purpose-led commitment called Tomorrow Takes Trust, which is a three-year, $300m (£258m) commitment to embed ‘trust-based principles’ into the core businesses.

PwC has stated that it will restructure its US firm into two business segments, combining its assurance and tax reporting practices into a new trust solutions segment, and setting up a consulting solutions segment that will encompass services such as business transformation, cybersecurity, tax consulting, business deals, cloud, digital, privacy and risk.
