The artificial intelligence (AI) deal will make PwC the largest user of ChatGPT Enterprise, a business-focused generative AI chatbot, expanding the Big Four network’s technology infrastructure and embedding GenAI into the operations of the accounting giant.

This will enable PwC to scale AI capabilities within their day-to-day operations, with ChatGPT rolled out to over 25,500 staff in the UK, although the timing of the implementation has not been confirmed.

Umang Paw, incoming chief technology officer, PwC UK said: ‘If you’re serious about testing and proving the benefits of Gen AI, you can’t just dip your toe in, you've got to be committed.

‘This deal with OpenAI is about immersing our people with the fastest and safest systems.
