Rob Elliott has been re-appointed as the new managing partner at Saffery Champness, taking over from Jonathan Fox who is retiring from the firm and plans to start a professional services consultancy business
The role is not new to Elliott who was managing partner from 2002 to 2010 when Fox took up the role.
Elliott will step up to the top post with effect from 1 May 2015. He became a partner at Saffery Champness in 1987, and previously served as managing partner from 2002 to 2010. Since that time, he has served as the firm’s finance partner and member of its management board.
Saffery Champness is ranked 13th in the Accountancy UK top 75 firms league table, with a fee income of £58.9m and 62 partners.

Fox, who spent five years in the managing partner role, is retiring from the partnership in order to pursue his own consultancy business, working with professional service firms and their management teams, including Saffery Champness.
Unusually for a top 20 firm, he is not an accountant, and has previously held senior management positions with law firm DLA Piper and as chief executive of barristers St Philips Chambers.
Fox said: ‘I have worked closely with Rob during my seven years with Saffery Champness and I know that the firm will be in excellent hands. I am looking forward to continuing to work with him in the near future.’
