Will small businesses be winners when it comes to tax simplification? Santhie Goundar reports

Since its formation in July 2010, the Office of Tax Simplification (OTS) has wasted no time reviewing and consulting on how the UK tax system can be simplified. One review – an interim report published just before the March 2011 Budget – addressed the thorny problem of small business taxation, with a number of proposals to reduce the tax burden.
