Streets merges with Spenser Wilson

Independently owned Streets has expanded its reach in Yorkshire after a merger with Halifax based Spenser Wilson

The four partners, Chris Yewdall, Andrea Kennedy, Liz Short and Sally Shacklock from the Halifax based accounting practice, which was founded in 1919, will remain with the newly merged firm, along with 27 staff .

The firm has been rebranded as Streets Spenser Wilson Chartered Accountants and will continue to operate out of the current office in Halifax.

This is the fifth deal for Top 40 accounting firm Streets in the last six months and has seen the practice grow substantially, now with more than 27 offices and fee income over £39m. There are a number of further deals currently under negotiation. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
