Surrey firm TWP has announced the completion of a merger with fellow south east firm Piper Thompson Chartered Accountants
Piper Thompson has been located in Weybridge for more than 33 years and there has been a close association between the two firms for the last 32 years, having shared mutual clients.
Headed by Tony Thompson, Piper Thompson has grown ‘considerably’ during that time, leading TWP to make the decision to acquire the practice. It will now take on all of Piper Thompson’s audit, accounting, payroll and tax work.
The combined firm will comprise more than 30 staff and have a combined fee income of £960,000 according to Companies House filings. The documents show TWP’s fee income for the year to 31 March 2016, the most recent filing available, was £922,985 while Piper Thompson’s for the year to 30 June 2017 was £37,437.
Philip Munk, managing partner at TWP, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Tony and his clients to TWP. We have known and worked with Tony for well over twenty years and have always had a very good working relationship. We very much look forward to helping Piper Thompson’s clients.’
