It’s the start of a new year. We’ve made our new year’s resolutions and started business plans for 2024. But have you filled your self assessment tax return? The latest figures from HMRC show that over 5.7 million people are still to file their tax return. Don’t be one of them.

Self assessment is the system used by HMRC to collect the information about earnings and expenses and calculate how much income tax is due. Small business owners, instead of getting a traditional salary with tax deductions made automatically, will need to work out how much they owe.
