Value Reporting Foundation replaces IIRC and SASB in merger

The International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) have merged to create the Value Reporting Foundation

At the launch, the head of the Value Reporting Foundation, CEO Janine Guillot said the organisation was ‘committed to the delivery of a more coherent corporate reporting system by working closely with the IFRS Foundation and other leading framework providers and standard setters around the world’.

Guillot said: ‘This is a momentous year for advancing global corporate reporting. Businesses and investors have long asked for more clarity and simplicity in reporting.

‘The Value Reporting Foundation will operate as a single global organisation and merging the three principle tools of the SASB and IIRC – integrated thinking principles, integrated reporting framework and SASB standards – will provide a more comprehensive view for investors.’
