Ashgates rebrands to DJH after record £6m year

Ashgates has rebranded as DJH Derby after merging with private equity backed accountancy group DJH Group last year

Founded in 1991, Ashgates merged with DJH Group last July and now following a transition period, the firm has rebranded as DJH Derby, joining the group’s network of 16 offices and 750 staff across England and Ireland.

The rebranding follows the best year in the Derby based firm’s history, reporting £6m in fee income. The record performance was driven by growing demand for additional in-house services, including specialist R&D and capital allowance support, commercial funding, estate planning, and HR.

Steve Martin, director of DJH Derby, said: ‘We have had an excellent 12 months since joining the group, making it an easy step to take on the DJH name in our second year.

‘Our existing clients have experienced a seamless transition, and we have also attracted a number of new owner-managed businesses as a result of the complementary services we can offer.
