The case at the High Court centred around whether Tiffin Green’s audit work was deficient and led to losses on the sale of part of the business. At the heart of the issue was a significant £2.5m historical accounting error related to a division’s accounts, which pre-dated the audit firm’s appointment.

Ickenham is a travel agency and until July 2019 it had two divisions: a business travel division Business Travel Direct (BTD) and a consumer travel agency, LetsGo2.

In 2014, Ickenham appointed Essex based Tiffin Green as auditor, and the firm audited the accounts for four years for the financial years ended 30 September 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
