RSM Bentley Jennison has launched a corporate restructuring and insolvency arm to take advantage of any downturn in the UK economy.

It has poached a team from recovery specialist Begbies Traynor to handle the practice, which will be headed by Phil Smith and Simon Thomas.

Managing partner Tony Stockdale said: 'Sound business advice can be a life-saver for companies.' The new division will help improve the performance of struggling companies and handle insolvency cases.

By adding corporate restructuring and insolvency to its portfolio, Bentley Jennison believes it now offers 'a one-stop shop' for all areas of financial and accounting advice.
