Brian Green and Paul Flint of KPMG have been appointed joint administrators to workplace consultancy business the BGM Group Ltd, which has been sold via a 'pre-pack' deal to facilities management business Europa.
The sale of the Colwyn Bay-based consultancy to Europa, based in Manchester, has saved the jobs of 29 of the 55 BGM Group staff. A small number of employees have also been retained to assist the administrators on a short term basis.
With offices in Wales and London, BGM Group Ltd provided strategic workplace solutions to corporate clients, largely in the areas of office space management and move management. Four key contracts and other associated assets were sold on a pre-pack basis.
Paul Flint, restructuring associate partner at KPMG, said: 'After suffering from significant short-term cash flow pressures, the business was unable to meet its tax obligations. As a result, The BGM Group Ltd was placed into administration. However, we are pleased that, through a successful sale process, we were able to save 29 jobs.'
