Andrew Tate, Reeves restructuring partner, has been elected to take the reins as president of R3, the trade association for insolvency practitioners, in 2016. Tate has recently been elected as R3 deputy vice president and will become vice president in 2015. He has been a member of R3 for many years, and currently chairs the smaller practices group
Baker Tilly has appointed partner Andy Monteith to its Chelmsford office. Monteith, who has worked for the firm since 1994, specialises in audit assurance and financial reporting, and joins from Baker Tilly’s office in Milton Keynes. He is also national head of construction for the firm and leads Baker Tilly’s services to the social housing sector in London and the South East.
A tax associate from Baker Tilly’s office in Birmingham who joined the firm at the age of 16 has won a national award. Adam Rollason was one of 25 winners of the Association of Taxation technicians (ATT) ’25ATT25’ competition, which recognises those aged 25 or under who have made a significant achievement in their tax career.

Palletower, a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of storage, handling and distribution equipment based in Sale, has appointed Julia Williams as finance director. Hers responsibilities include the implementation of a new ERP System, as well as reviewing systems and processes to place a greater focus on the finance function in the global commercial strategy. Williams joins from Umbro International where she held the role of international finance controller during her six years with the business. Previously she worked for Instore/Poundstretcher in senior positions.

Loughton chartered accountancy firm Haslers has appointed Graham Edwards as investigations manager in the insolvency and recovery services department. He was previously an investigations manager at FRP Advisory and MCR, and also worked as a consultant at Kinetic Partners where he investigated asset recovery and fraud cases on behalf of HMRC and other authorities. Edwards started his career in HM Customs and Excise (as was) in 1997, before joining the private sector in May 2007.
