Dains expands in Scotland with Condies deal

Private equity backed Dains Group has acquired Condies Chartered Accountants, giving it three more offices in Scotland and adding 50 staff

This is the second deal in as many weeks by the private equity backed accountancy group and brings revenue to over £70m.

Pauline Hogg, managing partner at Condies, will become joint managing partner of Dains Scotland. All 50 staff will remain with the firm as well as directors Jason Condie and Linda Nelson.

Condies has estimated fee income of £4m and has three offices in Dunfermline, Edinburgh and Dundee.  The business has grown consistently in recent years, driven by a commitment to investment in technology and an experienced and dedicated team, allowing the firm to offer clients high-quality, tailored advice. 

The value of the deal was not disclosed.
