Dains makes double acquisition with first Irish move

Private equity backed Dains Group has kicked off the new year with two accountancy firm acquisitions, increasing revenue to a projected £55m and adding over 100 staff members

Following a busy expansion programme over the last 12 months, Dains has completed the acquisitions of Midlands-based Magma Chartered Accountants and has made its first move into Ireland after a deal with Dublin-based McInerney Saunders.

Current senior partners and directors at both firms will be remaining with the group and both firms will retain their individual branding, trading as ‘part of the Dains group of companies’.

All nine Magma partners will be remaining as partners while the firm's 100 staff will transfer to the combined business.
