There is a huge overlap in the work that lawyers and accountants do in helping to resolve the financial issues that arise after the breakdown of a relationship. Indeed, if you bring to mind a Venn diagram, there are areas in which we work together and other areas where we have distinct roles and advise separately. In my experience, family lawyers now need accountants more than ever.
