Ex-BBC director Liz Rylatt to replace ICAEW's Fieth

ICAEW has named Liz Rylatt as executive director, finance, operations and members, taking over from outgoing Robin Fieth, who is leaving the organisation to head up the Building Societies Association.

Rylatt will have executive responsibility for members, UK regions, marketing, IT, and property and finance. She will also become a member of ICAEW's board.

Liz Rylatt is an ICAEW chartered accountant and qualified at KPMG. After a period working in finance departments for large retailers, she joined the BBC, initially as chief management accountant for BBC Network Television and has been with the state broadcaster for the last 18 years. Most recently she was director of transition and business management, as well as being a divisional board member.

Rylatt said: 'Having been a member for over 25 years, I have huge admiration for all that ICAEW achieves and am delighted to be joining such a prestigious organisation.

'I am looking forward to using my skills and knowledge in helping to deliver ICAEW's strategy as well as to getting out across the UK to meet fellow members.'

Rylatt joins the ICAEW on 8 January 2014.
