Robust governance arrangements are essential in the new NHS, says Morag Miller

The structure of the NHS is in the midst of unprecedented change. The draft Health and Social Care Bill proposes abolishing all Strategic Health Authorities and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs), replacing them with an NHS Commissioning Board, around 270 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and other support organisations, in order to put general practitioners at the forefront of primary care.

Needless to say, the Bill is going through endless debate in the Houses of Commons and Lords.
