Opening the new clarified International Standard on Auditing (UK and Ireland) 600, The Audit of Group Financial Statements, is not for the faint-hearted. The 10 bold requirements in the current ISA have become 40 paragraphs in the new clarified standard. Surely there can’t be four times as many things to do?
