ISSB consults on two-year sustainability research plan

The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is consulting on its priorities for the next two years, including sustainability-related research projects

Based on research into the information needs of investors, the ISSB has identified four potential projects: three sustainability-related research projects on biodiversity, ecosystems and ecosystem services; human capital; and human rights, and a fourth project researching integration in reporting.

The ISSB said that it was focusing on issues of the greatest importance to investors, including deficiencies in the way companies currently disclose sustainability information; and the extent of the limitations of current reporting output.
