In its first move into Ireland, top 20 firm MHA is set to merge with Irish accountancy firm Roberts Nathan, branding the business as Baker Tilly Ireland
The new partnership will be known as Baker Tilly Ireland. Currently with 70 staff and partners, Baker Tilly Ireland plans to create 100 new jobs as part of its expansion strategy.
Current managing partner of Roberts Nathan, Vivian Nathan, will become Baker Tilly Ireland’s new regional chief operations officer.
Roberts Nathan was set up in 1997 and has estimated fee income of €6 million (£5.1m). Last year the firm also merged with Cork accountants James O’Brien & Co.
The proposed MHA merger, set to be finalised in July, combines Roberts Nathan’s extensive local expertise with a strong international presence, significantly enhancing the firm’s capability to offer a more comprehensive range of services and sector expertise and serve a broader client base in Ireland and globally.
