One in three finance leaders use AI

A third of directors in financial services are using artificial intelligence at least once a day at work, with CEOs using it the most

Across the UK over a third (36%) of directors said they used AI in the workplace with some using it to write their speeches, revealed a survey by KPMG. However, half of workers are worried about the impact of AI on their jobs in the next one to five years.

Out of all the functions AI can be used for, most directors used the technology for brainstorming and researching, while others said they would use it for customer data analytics and financial planning in future.

Arleen Arnott, senior partner at KPMG, said: ‘It is clear from this survey that AI is becoming a key part of the day to day running of financial services firms.

‘From brainstorming and research to future financial planning and analysing customer data, the opportunities are endless if this technology is used in the right way.’
