In this week’s accountancy career moves, partner promotions at BDO, French Duncan, Azets and KPMG, hires at Johnston Carmichael and FRP Advisory, and tech appointments at ICAEW
BDO has appointed Ian McBane as national head of technology & media, effective 4 July 2022. He is currently the lead business services and outsourcing partner in London and has been an active member of BDO’s technology & media leadership team since joining the firm in 2019. He has extensive experience dealing with ambitious, high growth scale-ups, mid-market PE backed businesses and international tech companies, and also works with a number of US-owned tech clients and listed group affiliates. He takes over from Tony Spillett.
French Duncan has promoted two entrepreneurial services directors Neil Robb and Marc Vosilius to partner, following significant success in this key area of the business over the past few years. Robb and Vosilius have been with the firm for six and eight years respectively. Robb has also taken on the role of head of the entrepreneurial services department, while Vosilius will focus on new business growth across the central belt. Meantime, partner Stephen Hughes, who trained with French Duncan and has been with the firm since, has been elected chairman. He takes over the role from Eileen Blackburn who recently retired.
