RSM has appointed George Fieldhouse and Alex Dugay as partners to expand the debt advisory offering, with a particular focus on strengthening the London team. They will also work closely with the wider consulting and corporate finance teams  on larger, complex projects. Fieldhouse has over 18 years’ experience in debt advisory and joins from Grant Thornton, where he spent four years as a partner and led its corporate finance debt advisory practice. His expertise spans the full lifecycle of debt financing from acquisition financing to refinancing and lender education. Dugay brings over 17 years’ experience in debt markets, advising a clients from listed companies to large privately owned businesses, and specialises in delivering funding solutions and securing financing. Previously he was managing director, debt advisory at Peel Hunt, and prior a director at Deloitte.

Bishop Fleming has made two senior appointments in its Birmingham office, naming Jack Edmonds as partner and Julie Mole as director in its accountancy team. The new hires further strengthen the firm’s growing presence in the Midlands and are aimed at the owner-managed and mid‑market business segment. Both Edmonds and Mole join from Crowe UK LLP, where they worked closely together advising entrepreneurial and SME clients on compliance, business advisory and funding. Mole also brings more than 20 years’ experience in NatWest’s corporate and commercial banking teams, adding specialist funding and debt advisory insight to Bishop Fleming’s practice. SRLV has appointed its first HR partner, Nicola O’Shea, as it looks to invest in new talent and expand its 300-strong team. A fellow of the CIPD, O’Shea joined the firm as a director in 2023 and has led a major recruitment drive, as well as setting new HR policies, launching a partner mentorship scheme for senior managers and directors, and overseeing expansion of the intern and graduate training programmes. Over her 30-year career, she has held senior roles at Bindmans LLP and Kaiser Associates.

BTG has promoted Adam Humphrey and Scott Day to partner, enhancing the senior leadership team across its advisory and restructuring team. Humphrey, a specialist in asset-based lending and special situations mergers and acquisitions, and creditor services team head, Day, collectively have more than three decades of experience. Day has been with BTG for three years and as partner will lead the creditor services team in London collaborating with BTG offices across the UK. Chartered accountant Humphrey is part of the internal talent pipeline, having joined the firm as a trainee 13 years ago. The promotions to partner coincide with more than 100 promotions across the wider group.

Ecovis Wingrave Yeats has promoted Sally Casson, Jamie Mullen and Michael Storey, to partner at the Soho-based accountancy and advisory firm. The three new partners have each played a key role in supporting clients and contributing to the firm’s strategic development and demonstrate strong technical expertise. These promotions reflect the commitment to developing internal talent.

Beavis Morgan has promoted Andrew Demetriades to partner, at the Kinbrook Group firm. Demetriades has built a strong reputation for advising owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial companies and corporate groups, helping clients navigate complex financial reporting requirements. Previously he was an associate director at Duncan & Toplis, also part of the group. His promotion reflects both his technical expertise and his commitment to developing lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.

WTS UK has appointed Rob Williams as partner to lead its real assets tax practice. He joins from FTI Consulting, where he spent four years as a managing director in the European tax advisory team, and brings two decades of experience advising real estate, construction, hospitality and infrastructure clients on structuring, transactions and all aspects of taxation.

The Private Office (TPO) has appointed Mark Lewis as non-executive chairman to support the next phase of the growth and development of the business after securing private equity investment from Goldman Sachs Alternatives. Lewis brings significant board leadership experience across listed and private equity backed organisations. He currently has a portfolio of non-executive director roles, and was previously CEO of Moneysupermarket Group.

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has named Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia as chair for the next four years after secretary of state for business Peter Kyle confirms appointment following hearing before MPs on the Business & Trade Committee. She replaces Jan du Plessis who leaves in September. The former CEO of Virgin Money and one-time chair of HMRC brings commercial and public sector experience, with an audit background and a track record of integrity along with the requisite level of competence and qualifications. The role requires a commitment of two days a week, which she will combine with her current seven non-executive director roles.
