Alexander Kinninmonth, partner, and Richard Brewer, director, of RSM restructuring have been appointed joint administrators of Eastleigh-based transport, distribution and warehouse company Harris Transport Ltd which has collapsed with the loss of upwards of 70 jobs as a result of recent trading difficulties

Prior to the appointment, the company made 70 staff redundant. A further 15 people have been retained by administrators in order to assist in an orderly wind-down of the warehouse operation.

Alexander Kinninmonth, RSM partner and joint administrator, said: ‘Unfortunately, it was not possible to sell the business as a going concern. As a result, the company was left with little choice but to cease trading and make staff redundant.'
