SMEs increase reliance on accountants

As costs rise and consumer spending falls, eight in 10 SMEs said that their accountant had helped reduce the impact of inflation on their business

Research by Intuit QuickBooks – released to coincide with International Accounting Day – showed that the overwhelming majority (83%) of SMEs were turning to their accountant or bookkeeper to support their business through uncertain times, with 38% stating that the accountant has helped them ‘significantly’ in dealing with inflation risks.
